Our People

  • Therese Boyle

I live in Raglan with my husband Pete. Our two children are out in the world living their lives. We all adore any opportunities to spend time together. My career has gifted me rich and varied experiences and learnings; teacher, project manager, account manager, homeopath, coach...and most significantly mothering our children. My involvement in establishing this trust comes from a deep recognition of the importance of relationships. Of allowing people, places and events to be what they are, all the while walking alongside supporting, honouring and celebrating the myriad of paths that are travelled. The most important relationship is the one we have with ourselves, as this is the basis from which we connect with others. Discovering this is life changing.

I've always been attracted to the art of story-telling, so trained as an actor. I seemed to learn more about myself and the world through Imagery, metaphor and archetype than anything else. It wasn't until I stumbled into step beside this incredible bunch of people did I realise that that attraction was more than just a craft. It was a whisper that called me to remember that while we are all playing a part in life, the stage in which we stand is fueled with everything we've ever needed to do just that. Play. I am now able to show up to life, without knowing the lines and experience each wave of feeling with an open curiosity. This way of thinking has had a beautiful ripple effect in my life and relationships. I am a part of this trust to point people towards that whisper so more can experience the freedom it brings.

I spent a lot of my life reading self help books. How to be a better this or how to fix that. A continual search. I always felt something was missing and that somewhere out there was the answer to everything. A bit like chasing the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. I was introduced to the philosophy of Sydney Banks in 2018 by an old friend. He made a bold statement saying that it would be life changing. It was! To understand that I have everything I need, that nothing is broken or needs fixing has been a game changer. To comprehend that I only ever feel my thinking and never my circumstances clears a path that leads to peace and contentment like I have never experienced before. My passion is to share this understanding with others. Particularly youth.

I have a number of titles Mother Grandma Wife Daughter Auntie Sister Employee Neighbour and Friend I spent most of my life believing that my role was to serve all of the people with whom I came into contact whilst “acting” in these roles. This was my life and although this didn’t make me unhappy, I often felt that something was missing with questions such as, is this all there is? could there be more? could it feel easier? I read books and talked to others and attended workshops and came to understand from an intellectual perspective that I was a whole, perfect, worthy human. When I finally stopped and allowed what was inside to come out, I now know that was missing was me! I would like to see a shift in our world where people can understand that we all have everything we need to thrive inside us. We are not broken; we do not need to be fixed we are ’worth it’ and life can be filled with wonder and joy.
