LEAP Cards

Supporting people to rediscover their wellbeing, through curiosity and play

There are 3 sections

Purple cards invite inspiration

Green cards are words to invite curiosity

Pink cards are an invitation to an activity

You may want to initially see which of the three sections calls you and then choose from that or you may prefer to have them all mixed up together and go from there. There are no rules. Just trust there’s something here to point you in a direction to explore.

“We cannot solve our problems with the same thinking we used to create them”

Albert Einstein

Change

LEAP can help support a shift in direction, from relying on habitual or learned thought patterns to trusting and following our instinct to explore new.

So often when we want to make a change, we end up going round in the same circles… even though we truly want to be moving in a new or different direction.

Sometimes we simply don’t know where to start, or if we make a start and don’t see positive results ASAP we become discouraged.

Often we feel we need to make a big change, and that can be paralysing, and we can end up feeling like a procrastinator. But, remember generally big changes are the result of lots of little steps.

Life can feel heavy and serious at times. Our hope is that LEAP invites some playfulness and helps break down the process of ‘what next’ into small steps.

LEAP supports staying ‘in this moment’ rather than feeling stuck in ‘wishful thinking’ about future moments.

How to play with leap

These cards can be used numerous times a day if that feels helpful.

You can personalise the LEAP cards by writing on the blank cards provided, activities, words or inspiration that feel appropriate to you. The card ‘Other’ is also an invitation to add a word, activity or inspiration that is meaningful to you but not already included in the deck.

Within the LEAP card deck there are instructions, but essentially formulate your question, take 3 deep breaths, and with the cards blank side up, select a card.

When something comes up that doesn’t make much sense, be curious and sit with it.

There are many different ways to interpret the card that comes up for you and the invitation is to be light and playful. Wait and see what occurs to you. There is no right or wrong.

Below are a few ideas that may start the ball rolling for you…
